How long have you been in the fitness industry?
I’ve been working in the fitness industry for about 7 years now. I first started when I was 15 — my school had a gym attached to it so I did my certificates 3 and 4 through the school with ARPT.
What’s your role in the business?
I’m the manager/operator, so I run all of the day to day backend stuff, the marketing and I’m a coach as well. I work 7 days a week but that’s my fault because I love this studio!
How were you managing your leads before?
It was all over the shop. When I first came to this studio there was a couple of products that they used, but it just didn’t flow. I didn’t like the way it brought in leads and managed them.
What wasn’t working with that sales process?
On top of those programs, there were sticky notes everywhere saying ‘call this person back’ and things like that. It was a very sporadic system with no follow-up system, no tracking or anything.

Absolutely, 100%. Without a doubt. I know exactly where every lead is in the pipeline, who I need to contact when. And they are getting the contact that they need to convert. It’s great.
How easy was it to learn how to use GymLeads?
Look, I’m not tech-savvy, and it’s probably the easiest one compared to other products I’ve used. When we set it up, the GymLeads team help you set it up, and that is something I have never really experienced. With other products, a lot of the time they just go ‘here you go’ and dump a whole bunch of videos and articles in your lap – and I don’t know what I’m doing!
Whereas with GymLeads, if there is something I don’t know I just write something in the chat bubble, and within an hour someone comes back to me saying “Hey Stell, this is how you do that.”
